St Anne’s Clarkesfield - Lourdes Youth Volunteers  - 08 March 2008
A gig for the good people of St Anne’s who host MLC’s rehearsals FOC and
for which we are very grateful. The £350 raised on the night will go towards
helping the Lourdes Youth Volunteers of the parish. Young people who give
up a great deal to help less fortunate people who make the pilgrimage to
Lourdes cope with some of the personal obstacles they have to overcome.
On the night MLC were pleased to include the musical talents of Sarah
Turner and Ian Cleverdon in our line up ...... The more the merrier!
There are some pictures of the night below.
A Shot Across The Bow!
Catholic Childrens Rescue Society - Alma Lodge Hotel, Stockport
25th April 2008
MLC where honoured to be asked once again to provide the musical
entertainment for this annual Dinner Dance organised by Maria and Tony
Sivori for the Catholic Childrens Rescue Society where 160  guests raised
over £3287.20 for the charity. Sorry - No pictures of the evening.
A Double Ruby Wedding Celebration. Jim and Pat, Dave and Jean
31st October 2008
MLC Performing as a three piece at this double celebration and helping
to raise £1140 for two very worthy charities CICRA  Crohns in Childhood
Research Association and Oldham Silent Ones A very family focused
celebration and MLC had the added pressure of choosing a winner
from the many splendid Halloween costumes in the childrens fancy dress.
MLC felt a little out on a limb performing as a trio of guitarists but the
branch didn’t break in fact it probably grew a little as many of the 200+
audience said how much they enjoyed our two sets.
MLC were honoured to be asked back again to perform and help  raise
funds for the restoration of St Pauls in the centre of Shaw. The Dinner
and Caberet  evening raised in the region of £700. Although MLC didn’t
partake of the meal it looked delicious and a mention must go to the
hard work of those who prepared and served the meal. Once again the
St Pauls dancers where out in force and added to making this a splendid
evening for all.
